Now you see them...Now you don't!

The kids think the mound of laundry is an open invitation for fun. They think it is pretty amazing that 3 kids can hide in this much clothes. I don't look at it as amazing because I have to fold it.

The Next Olympian

We are so addicted to watching the Olympics. We don't have cable, so with the awesome "information highway" we watch the Olympics every night! We pull our chairs around the computer and enjoy! We watched Michael Phelps winby a hundredth of a second, then put on Track and Field and saw the 10M dash. Josh put on his Olympic beanie (a few hours before this beanie was a bandit beanie) my mom got for him when she was in China and decides he's going to do the hurdles and get ready for the next Olympics! So for the rest of the time we were watching the races, he was in serious training running back and forth, jumping, falling and running into chairs along the way! He was nice and sweaty! We'll watch for him at the 2012 Olympics in England!

Sydney is 13

Wow, what a fast 13 years. Of course, we had to reminisce about the day Sydney was born! Jason doesn't think he was eating a chocolate ice cream while I was in total labor. I will have to find the picture to prove it! After 3 long hours of pushing, my doctor opted for a c-section. So, while I was being operated on, Jason was totally engrossed with all the cutting and stuff to get Sydney out. He was supposed to be feeding me ice chips...I remember being SO thirsty! The first thing the doctor said when she was born was, "My what long eyelashes she has!" We loved her from that moment. She has been a great joy in our lives! Challenging at times and at others she really tries to do what is right! In this picture she got what she wanted most for her birthday from Nana and Papa...a cell phone! The rest of the night on her birthday she kept putting it to her cheek and smiling and saying, "I can't believe I got it!"Happy Birthday, Sydney!

How do I move my pictures around so I don't have so much dead space??

School Days, School Days...

School is back in....Whew!! Well, almost! Kallie and Josh started today and Sydney starts on September 2.! It's been a fun summer, but now time to get back to business! I think I get as excited as they do! Check out all the school supplies that all parents were asked to get! This is just Joshua's stuff! Not to mention shoes, uniforms.....etc!Sydney is excited about the progress of her new school. The Great Reveal (open house) for her new school is in a few weeks. I can't believe how fast they are moving!

Slide Rock

Ok, so blogging is fun! I thought I'd put in another picture of one of our summer trips to Slide Rock with us and my mom and Heidi. The water was, oh so cold, but fun to watch the kids and Jason go down and to see a bunch of people slip and fall because the rocks are so slippery!

Our Favorite Creation...

This is one of our favorite things to drink on a blistering hot day in the "Valley of the Sun". Everyone loves it! Strawberries, orange juice concentrate, apple juice, pineapple and crushed ice. We have this really loud smoothie maker so we have to warn Josh and Averie before we turn it on. Faithfully, they either run in the other room or plug their ears!

Is it really easy???

I am not really the type to be a "blogger", but due to the fact that I have a hard time writing in my journal and am by this computer all day, I think I will become one. What better way to keep track of what the family is doing and to record great or not so great memories?
